Project: Drilling Rig Upgrade

A semisubmersible operated by
Dolphin and currently on contract to Petrobras. The rig
is to undergo a Renewal Survey (per DNV rules) as well
as additional repairs, including an extensive paint
upgrade.
Èpeus is providing project management consulting,
placing a team in the Dolphin office to manage planning
and will mobilize to Brazil this Spring to manage the
Execution Phase at the Shipyard.
Client: TAQA (UKCS)
Project: Platform Drilling Facilities upgrade
Location: Aberdeen, UK
Service: Project Assurance
TAQA is to upgrade and overhaul the
drilling facilities on one of its platforms on the UK
continental shelf (UKCS).
Èpeus has been engaged to oversee TAQA's drilling
contractor, Seawell, and provide assurance that reported
progress is correct and that the project is planned and
executed in a systematic and controlled way. We also
provide an extra level of quality assurance during the
drilling equipment overhaul and repair at Seawell
supplier workshops.
Client: KCA Deutag
Project: Drilling Rig Upgrade, Repair and Renewal Survey
Location: Aberdeen, UK

KCA Deutag is to upgrade, repair and
conduct a renewal Survey of one of its offshore drilling
render barges operating offshore Angola.
Èpeus has been engaged to define the project, prepare
the project scope of work and develop the integrated
project schedule for execution in Cape Town, South
Africa later in 2009.

Project: Two sixth Generation Semi Submersible Drilling
Rigs, New Constuction

A change in project drivers and
geographic influences overrode the approach originally
taken by Sea Dragon for topsides construction,
integration, and commissioning of its units, which
required a change in overall strategy, contract
strategy, risk profile, budget forecasting and project
organisation.
Èpeus was engaged to re-define and plan the topsides
projects, to assist in restructuring the project
organisation and to develop an alternative project
topsides execution strategy. We performed a full review
of each project and developed Project Execution Plans
for both vessel topsides constructions programs.
Client: Prosafe
Project: Upgrade and Repair to DP3 Accommodation Semi
Submersible
Service: Project Assurance
Prosafe had undertaken to conduct a
major refurbishment of one of its DP3 Semi Submersible
accomodation vessels. Prior to the shipyard execution of
the work, Prosafe Senior Management wanted independent
assurance that the project has been planned and
controlled in a manner that would facilitate the
successful execution of the work.
Èpeus was engaged to perform an independent audit and
review of the project, suggest improvements and report
directly back to the senior management of Prosafe.
