Project Specialist

Title: Project Specialist – Senior Planner

The individual has over thirty years of experience working as a Senior Planner, Write-up Engineer, Cost Engineer and Senior Offshore Planner. He recently worked for Epeus in a Planning/Project Engineer capacity and developed the planning and resource scheduling for newbuild, refit and upgrade projects. He also provided risk analysis, defined scopes and on-site project management. Prior to Epeus, he worked for Saipem, Stolt, Amerada Hess and Shell among others. He is proficient in MS Office and Project as well as Primavera P3 and P6 and Pertmaster Risk Analysis.

The individual is a Senior Geologist with over twelve years of experience in the oil and gas industry. As a Senior Geologist, he has conducted geotechnical site investigations (with soft rock and hard-rock logging), risk assessments and project evaluations, reservoir characterization (sedimentology and secquence stratigraphy), created reports  and presented technical papers, among other duties. He also carried out well logging and correlation as well as geophysical surveys and well development projects for noted companies, including Shell and Mobil. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology and a Master’s of Science in Petroleum Geoscience. Additionally, he is Prince 2-certified in Project Management.

Over a career which has spanned 30 years the individual has shown professional leadership in many fields as varied as: Quantitative lateral reservoir prediction, AVO, Inversion Sequence and Seismic Stratigraphic analysis.  He is SEG's World Council Representative for East Asia/Australasia and member of both the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and SPE. He was project Leader of Integrated Reservoir Studies, led the Team in a pilot field reservoir characterisation project. Then on success, scoped, tendered and planned technical aspects of a field development study for 9 fields, the largest integrated reservoir study of its type undertaken at the time. He pioneered statistically based seismic attribute analysis for reservoir (rock and fluid) prediction which included sub seismic palaeogeographic reconstructions of reservoir development and variability. He also generated an extensive new approach to low permeability reservoirs adding significant new reserves to basin and has given training courses in Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation.

Title: Project Specialist – Drilling Manager

Bio:
The individual is a BS Petroleum Engineer (University of Tulsa) with Management Studies at Oxford University, with Chartered status from the UK Institute of Energy.  He has recently worked as Drilling Manager, Superintendent, and Senior Drilling Engineer with additional experience of West African Field development projects.  He has recent experience with semi-submersibles, jack-ups, and land wells (Bowleven and Vaalco).  He has extensive experience writing guidance documents and undertaking operational and organisational optimisation studies.  He has detailed experience with service company organisations, having worked as a Director for the International Association of Drilling Contractors, IADC.  Here, he developed skills for good planning methods for obtaining top operational performance from vendors.  He has detailed experience and knowledge of industry contracts developed by IADC, LOGIC, and drilling contractors.  Strong points would be providing an atmosphere for a team-work environment, long-range planning, and sound strategy formulation.

Title: Project Supervisor – Construction

The individual is an experienced Electrical Supervisor and Field Engineer. He has managed maintenance, repairs and operations on numerous electrical systems, generators, mud systems, AC/DC motors and brake models for land rigs, jackup rigs, gas plants, FPSOs, etc. He has also designed and rebuilt SCR systems, installed preventative maintenance systems and managed the start-up and commissioning for electrical systems.
